Description

This is a classic scene along Dauphin Street in Mobile photographed and painted numerous times by others. The view has always intrigued me because of the juxtaposition of the Victorian-style architecture of the historical district with the contemporary style of the RSA Tower in the background. I tried to capture the color and elegance of the old buildings which invite us to stroll down the streets and enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells of the city.
